BOARDMAN, Ohio — Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center and Earth Works are building a sculpture at Boardman Park to honor anyone who has been affected by cancer.
Yellow Brick Place is a non-profit organization in Northeast Ohio dedicated to providing non-medical support to anyone on their journey with cancer.
Children attending the Boardman Park summer camp program got involved and helped weave branches and twigs together to form a stick wall in between two trees with a heart shaped window in the center.
“This is to benefit all of the people that we serve and just as a reminder of the love that we have for all of them and a reminder of the beauty that we see in them everyday,” says Kathleen Moliterno, executive director of Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center.
